Our Crew
 | There
are three key people on the Webb Family Motorsports racing team.
Their expertise, dedication, knowledge of the sport and knowing
what’s involved in making it all work, are an essential part of any
successful team. Two other
people accent the team, they manage, organize and ensure that every detail
is taken care of to make each race event go as smoothly as possible.
Below are brief descriptions of the team members and their
backgrounds |
Driver/Owner:
Darrell Webb
 |
Darrell
is a licensed mechanic by trade. For
the past 4 years he has run his own business
selling Lucas Oil Products and has since expanded to provide product for the
trucking industry, such as chrome accessories and LED lights.
His racing background
dates back to 1981 when he raced at Edmonton Speedway Park. When
Capital Raceway opened in 1991, Darrell was already racing with a 1971
Nova,
traveling to Calgary and Saskatoon. He
has been racing ever since. |
Crew Chief & Head
Technician: Bob (Bubba) Webb
 |
Bob has been with Westend Suzuki for the over 25 years
as the Shop Supervisor and Head Mechanic. He holds both tickets for Automotive and Heavy Duty mechanic.
His racing experience also goes back to the days at Speedway Park.
He is Darrell’s brother and has been on the team since 1990. |
Assistant Crew
Chief: Jeremy Jelinski
 | Jeremy has been on the team for the last 7 years.
He is our nephew who started racing with us when his family moved
here from Regina when he was 15. He
has grown to be very involved in the tuning of the car and is as dedicated
to the sport as the rest of the team. His
hopes are to license in the Funny Car and become the driver some day. |
Team Manager &
Co-owner: Leslie Bourdin
 |
Leslie
has been on the crew since 1993 when the Funny Car was first purchased.
She is very involved in the preparation of each race event and to
ensure. Everything that is
needed will be there. Leslie
has been around cars since she was 16 and wouldn’t participate in any
other sport but Drag Racing. |
Assistant Manager &
Webmaster: Sandy Jelinski
 |
Leslie’s
sister Sandy also joined the team in 2001 when they moved here.
She was also interested in the sport from the Speedway Park days when
she would attend as a spectator. Her
involvement in the sport has expanded to her being nominated as the Race
Director for the Association (IBAA) that we run with.
Her knowledge of the sport has increased tremendously and she is
dedicated to making it fun and fair for all participating. |
